Your First Visit
When you arrive at Alliance Wellness Clinic for the first time, you’ll be welcomed by our admissions team and guided through a structured intake process. Here’s what to expect:
Registration & Orientation
- Meet our staff, complete intake paperwork, and review your rights as a patient.
- Learn about our services, your treatment options, and how we’ll support you.
Urine Drug Screen (UDS)
- A urine test will be completed to confirm recent substance use.
- Results help guide safe medication decisions and individualize your care.
History & Physical (H&P)
- A medical provider will complete a comprehensive evaluation, including your medical history, substance use history, mental health, and current needs.
- If you have had a physical from a medical provider in the last 30 days, records can be sent to Alliance Wellness Clinic so an additional physical is not needed
- Vital signs and withdrawal assessments will be taken (such as COWS/CIWA scores).
Treatment Planning
- Based on your needs, you’ll discuss FDA-approved medication options (methadone or buprenorphine/Suboxone®) with your medical provider.
- Counseling, peer support, and wraparound services will be reviewed.
- You’ll participate in developing your initial treatment plan.
First Dose
- If appropriate and safe, you may receive your first medication dose the same day.
- Nursing staff will monitor you closely for safety and effectiveness.
