Peer Recovery Support

Peer Recovery Support at Alliance Wellness Clinic connects you with Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS), individuals who have lived experience with addiction and recovery. Peers walk alongside you in your journey, offering encouragement, understanding, and practical guidance. By sharing their stories and strategies, peers provide hope and demonstrate that recovery is not only possible, it’s sustainable.

Why Peer Support Matters
  • Shared Experience: Talking with someone who has “been there” reduces stigma and isolation.
  • Motivation & Hope: Peers model what recovery looks like in everyday life.
  • Accountability: Regular check-ins help keep you on track with your goals.
  • Connection to Resources: Peers help bridge the gap between treatment, community, and support networks.
What Peer Support Covers
  • Coping with cravings, stress, and daily challenges
  • Building routines that support recovery
  • Developing relapse-prevention strategies
  • Strengthening family and community relationships
  • Navigating housing, employment, and education opportunities
  • Encouragement during transitions, setbacks, or major life changes
What to Expect
  • Flexible Support: One-on-one peer meetings, group sessions, or informal check-ins
  • Collaboration: Peers coordinate with your counselors and medical team (with your consent) to reinforce your treatment plan
  • Integration: Peer support works hand-in-hand with medication and counseling to promote whole-person recovery
  • Respect & Confidentiality: Every interaction is nonjudgmental, supportive, and private
